Andró Griessel CFP®
CEO / Wealth Manager

Andró is the founder and managing director of Woodland Wealth.
He is a firm believer in the value of independent, well thought out and knowledge-based advice and made it his mission to establish an advice-based, instead of a sales-based business. The people close to him will describe him as slightly against the grain and a non-conformist. “It is this attitude of questioning the norm that leads to the best planning solutions for clients”, he says. He is obsessed with the concept of “the client’s best interest” and it forms the blueprint from where the business is managed.
After matriculating from Paarl Boys High in 1990, he acquired a BComm Degree at Stellenbosch University. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of the Free State, is a CFP® professional and is a member of the Institute of Financial Markets. Before he established the company in 2003, he worked amongst others, at Shoprite Holdings Head Office, Nedgroup Asset Management and Investec Asset Management.

Samuel Rossouw CFP®
Director / Wealth Manager

True to company culture, Samuel strives to build solid long term relationships with clients and has a meticulous way of identifying needs, defining goals and compiling an executable plan to reach one’s goals. He firmly believes that one has to be a specialist in one’s field to be able to add value, and continuous training & education is therefore paramount. To be objective and to have an independent approach to a client’s planning is critical to make a difference.
Born & bred on a farm in the Montagu region, Samuel matriculated in 2001 from Montagu High School. He completed his BComm Honours degree in Business Management as well as his Postgraduate & Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. Samuel is a CFP® professional. Apart from a short stint at an agricultural company Samuel has spent his whole working career with Woodland Wealth. Samuel is a shareholder and valuable member of the board of directors of Woodland.

Carine Hough CGMA®
Director

Testing the waters of the long-term insurance industry, Carine started her career as a financial adviser in 2010 at ABSA. She didn’t feel at home in this position and after travelling the length of Africa, she settled in and found herself part of the Woodland team from September 2012. She joined Woodland Wealth as a Paraplanner, and after finding the inner workings of the business more interesting, exchanged her position to become the Financial & Operations Manager in 2015. Her dedication, initiative and her drive to overcome new challenges makes her a valuable team member. Today she too is a shareholder and valuable member of the board of directors of Woodland.
Matriculating from St Pauls College, in Windhoek in 2006, Carine continued studying and completed her BComm at the University of Stellenbosch as well as her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Elmie De Jager CFP®
Wealth Manager

Elmie is energetic, hard-working and analytical, and she loves to work with people. Before joining Woodland, Elmie was a consultant with a large financial services company and an educator in higher grade Mathematics and Accounting. Her personal attributes, passion for portfolio structuring and knack for numbers makes her a big asset to the company.
After matriculating from Aliwal North High School, she made her way to Stellenbosch University to complete her degree. She completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2014 and in 2020 completed an Advanced Diploma in Estate and Trust administration. She joined the Woodland team towards the latter part of 2015.

Cassie Carstens CFP®

Cassie lives by the mantra “Trust is Earned”. Starting his career in financial planning in 2009, he has obtained valuable experience, and the ever-changing markets have taught him that there is no place for ego’s. Supporting clients throughout their different life-phases gives him tremendous satisfaction and serves as a constant reminder of the impact that his advice can have on individuals and their families.
He hails from Paarl where he matriculated from Paarl Gymnasium in 2003. He continued his studies at Stellenbosch University where he obtained a BComm degree in 2007 and thereafter completed an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of the Free State in 2011. He is also a CFP® professional. He joined Woodland in October 2017.

Deidré Valentine CFP®
Wealth Manager

Deidré has a knack for analytical work and is spontaneous with a warm and friendly personality – a rare combination of qualities that is very useful in our industry. She was born and raised in Heidelberg, where she matriculated in 2011. She proceeded to study BComm Mathematical Science at the University of Stellenbosch, and also completed an honours in Financial Risk Management in 2016. She braved the CFA level 1 examination and passed in 2017. She continued the journey of equipping herself by receiving her Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning in Sept 2020 and became a CFP® professional in 2021.
She is not only clever, but a keen sportswoman. She spends much of her free time on the netball field as a nationally graded umpire. This suits her “work hard, play hard” motto well. She started her career as a research and investment analyst, giving her an excellent investment background, but then decided to work on a more personal level with clients where she can see the impact of robust financial planning. She joined Woodland in February 2020.

Martie Erasmus
Finance & HR Manager
(BSc)
Martie hails from Rawsonville. She matriculated from Goudini High School and then proceeded to study at Stellenbosch University where she obtained a BSc Degree.
Her working career is testament to her talents in various fields. She started as a student programmer in 1992 and worked her way up to senior programmer at Boland Bank in 1998. Thereafter she braved the hospitality industry when she co-owned and successfully managed various restaurants from 1998 to 2004. The last 16 years has seen her progress through the ranks at GRW Engineering.
Her hands-on approach to solving problems, attention to detail and focus on what needs to be done for holistic success is what makes her an asset to any entity. Her personal values of integrity and honesty aligns well with that of Woodland and we were happy to welcome her to the team in April 2021.

Angelique Scheepers
Administrative Assistant
Although born in Keetmanshoop, Namibia, Angelique moved to Bellville when only 10 years old, and matriculated from DF Malan in 1987.
Her experience ranges from being an admin and enquiries clerk in Boland Bank and moving through the ranks at Santambank (later to become ABSA), to being a representative for Metropolitan. She offered her outstanding administrative & organizational skills at ABSA / AIFA and Momentum Consult as personal assistant before deciding to join Woodland in February 2021 to provide support to the Financial Planning department.
Angelique is committed to providing excellent client service and does it with enthusiasm and pride. She is dependable and believes in being a team player and working collectively to achieve goals.

Landi Jourdan
Medical Aid Adviser

Landi was born and raised in Worcester. Over the years she has accumulated experience in office administration, bookkeeping and short-term insurance and even started her own small business which she managed for 6 years until she finally sold it to spend more time with her young kids at the time. However, she found her passion for the medical aid industry when she joined AIFA as a medical aid assistant in 2012.
What many people might not know about Landi is that for 6 years, she rode quad bikes for Droomers Yamaha and was the Nr 1 female for ATV Powersport South Africa. She has ticked off the Roof of Africa race from her bucket list. Since then she exchanged her motorbike for a mountain bike.
She lives by the motto that “some things seem impossible, until it’s done”. Her warm, welcoming personality puts clients at ease and the quality of her work is of utmost importance to her. She joined the team in March 2019.

Princess Mhlauli
Administrative Assistant

With her roots and childhood memories in Villiersdorp, Princess left her hometown after she matriculated from Grabouw High School in 2013 to settle in Somerset West. She accumulated a variety of work experience learning amongst other things how to deal with different kinds of people, how to cope under pressure and that meeting difficult deadlines and keeping demanding clients happy is the key to success.
Her dedicated attitude and her will to constantly better her own skills made her stand out above her peers and was selected to join the medical department of Woodland in January 2017.
In her free time, she studies towards a National Diploma in Business Management and when she is not buried under her books, she enjoys family time, sport and reading. She is organised, and does not allow obstacles to get in her way.

Inge Rousseau
Risk Specialist
(NQF6 Financial Planning)
Born and raised in Worcester, Inge matriculated from Worcester Gymnasium in 2003. She went on to study Public Relations Management at Boland College in Stellenbosch and now also holds a Certificate in Financial Products and a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning from Milpark.
Inge is a people’s person who believes in professionalism and the highest standard of service delivery. Inge is multi-talented and has even published a short story.
Inge worked for Woodland before from 2007 to 2012. This is where she first found her passion for the industry. From 2012 onward she worked at Hermitage, gaining valuable experience before re-joining Woodland in early 2018.

Shannon Burrows
Administrative Assistant

Shannon hails from Bethlehem in the Free State, where in 2008 she matriculated from Bethlehem Voortrekker High School. She obtained a degree in Human and Societal Dynamics from the University of the Free State and completed further studies in Labour Law via UNISA. As a youngster, she was quite the horse-rider, receiving Free State colours and achieving second place in the South African School League.
The administrative roles that she has filled previously, quickly progressed into senior positions which demonstrates the way she embraces a challenge and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Woodland welcomed her to the team in November 2018.

Letitia Tredoux
Administrative Assistant
Letitia was born in Stellenbosch and grew up between Kuils River and Strand, finishing school at De Kuilen High in 2002 whereafter she successfully completed an Air Hostess course.
Though the aviation industry welcomed Letitia with open arms, she preferred to be closer to home and more office bound, consequently furthering her studies and experience with legal entities.
A decade later she progressed to the medical laboratories industry working in close relationship with dedicated service to her clients.
We are proud to embrace this caring person into our environment who loves serving people. Her natural ownership mentality and meticulousness is an asset to our entity. She joined Woodland in June 2021.

Carla Du Toit
Administrative Assistant

Carla spent her early childhood in Malmesbury after which her family relocated to Paarl, where she matriculated from Paarl Gymnasium in 2016. She studied education at CPUT and obtained her degree in 2020. She worked as an Afrikaans teacher for grades 4-6 before she decided to exchange her classroom for the office when she joined Woodland Wealth in April 2022.
Carla is authentic and honest, and she values mutual respect which aligns well with the culture at Woodland. She is a great organiser and finds joy in administrative work. She strives to become a better version of herself every day and constantly works towards the goals she set for herself.

Marna Calitz
Administrative Assistant
Marna hails from Milnerton and matriculated from Bosmansdam High School in 2014. She always wanted to be a flight attendant and obtained her Cabin Crew license in 2017 but decided life away from home was not ideal at the time. In the meantime, she has gained valuable experience in both administration and logistical co-ordination from various companies.
She has a passion for people and is a reliable & dependable colleague and team-player. She has a warm, welcoming personality which makes people around her feel at ease. She joined the Woodland team in October 2022 as receptionist.

Dé-Mari Kleynhans
Trainee Planner

Dé-Mari originates from a farm outside Bredasdorp and brings a deep-rooted love for the countryside and its people to our team. After graduating from Hoërskool Bredasdorp in 2018, Dé-Mari pursued her academic journey at Stellenbosch University, where she earned her BComm in Investment Management in 2022, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (Cum Laude) in 2023. She believes in the power of discipline, as her life motto suggests: “Discipline will take you places motivation can’t.” She values personal connections in financial planning, emphasizing trust and mutual respect as cornerstones for building positive relationships. With a commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining pride in her endeavors, Dé-Mari embodies dedication and excellence in all she does.

Daniël van Rooy

Daniël, originally from Brackenfell, completed his matric at Bellville High in 2020. He graduated with a BCom in International Business, specializing in Investment Management and Economics, from Stellenbosch University in 2024. In 2023, he interned at Mercedes-Benz in Germany, where he honed his ability to deliver high-quality work in diverse teams. His background also includes experience as a cricket umpire, developing sharp decision-making and concentration skills. Passionate about sports, nature, and travel, Daniel’s adaptable and patient nature shines in his interactions. His calm demeanour and enthusiasm for engaging with people make him a valuable team player. He joined the Woodland team in January 2025.

Dieter Kotze
Trainee Planner

Dieter grew up on a farm near Moorreesburg and matriculated from Dirkie Uys High School in 2008. He holds an LLB from Stellenbosch University and furthered his legal training at UCT and Malan Lourens Viljoen Inc, where he completed his articles. He was admitted as an attorney in 2016. After working as a labour relations consultant, he joined his family’s Spar retail business, managing the store alongside his parents. Known for his integrity, resilience and people-focused approach, Dieter builds strong, trust-based relationships. Outside of work, he enjoys sport and fitness, with hobbies ranging from CrossFit and golf to hiking and fishing.

Chantelle Wessels
Administrative Assistant
Chantelle was born in Kempton Park and traversed South Africa before settling in Strand. She matriculated from Strand High in 2004. Her career journey began in various roles, including retail, administration, and sales, where she honed her organizational and interpersonal skills. With 12 years of experience in office coordination, she brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Outside of work, Chantelle enjoys painting and drawing, developed during her time in art school. Her dedication and passion for self-improvement make her an invaluable addition, always striving for excellence. She joins Woodland in May 2024 as administrative assistant and receptionist.

Mishay Felton
Receptionist
Mishay grew up on a smallholding in Sandvlei Faure. She completed her schooling at De Hoop Primary and Parel Vallei High, matriculating in 2014. She earned a Somatology Diploma from Helderberg School of Beauty and an International Diploma in 2017. After gaining experience on cruise ships for two years and working at various spas, Mishay’s career path changed direction when she joined Woodland Wealth in November 2024 as receptionist. Known for her strong social skills, professionalism, and attention to detail, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional results every time.

Simone Schonken
Administrative Assistant
Simone joined Woodland Wealth in June 2025, bringing with her a rich and varied background across hospitality, management, and client service. After earning her Diploma in Commis Chef from Warwick’s Chef School in 2015, she gained hands-on experience in high-pressure kitchen environments at establishments like Kleine Zalze, Protea Hotel, and Apetite Catering.
A shift into management roles followed, including her time as Food Service Manager at Geratec, where she developed strong leadership and interpersonal skills working with both elderly clients and diverse teams. Most recently, Simone played a key role in the day-to-day operations of an IT company, honing her ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate with empathy and clarity.
Known for her structured approach, vibrant energy, and warm sense of humour, Simone is a dynamic presence who values connection, routine, and positivity in the workplace.
